Hotel is very clean and comfortable. And hotel staff is very helpful and give us very good advice for where to play and to see. We had great time stay there with my kids. The breakfast is good, too.
The cheapest hotel we could find in the Interlaken area.
Still expensive for an old hotel that hasn't been properly renovated in a while, and isn't close to Interlaken (in terms of walking distance). At least the hotel stay includes free bus use to get to Interlaken and the Wilderswil railway station.
The Hotel is on bus route of 2 busses and has access to all 3 railway stations in interlaken and we were given local bus passes for our stay. The best thing about the hotel was its ever so helpful staff. It is a family run hotel and the guy at the reception was absolutely brilliant. He was so helpful and courteous. The hotel prices were pretty reasonable as compared to other hotels in the region. The rooms were neat and tidy.On the whole , it was a enjoyable experience staying in this hotel
The staff very helpful very understandind
This is a amazing 100 years old building, very classical and is wonderful to us.
Check out time of 10:00am is a little too early for us.
Good location in the center of Interlaken region just on the road to Grindelwald, good price/quality ration
Hotel is quite old and needs renovation
Hostess made us very welcome. Hotel very central and easy access to the mountains. Good breakfast in price.
Rather dingy, but with great views
Within reach to popular destinations
The quality of the rooms
The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is good, 15min walk to the casino and free bus service for those who don't want to walk.
The rooms could be refurbished, the wallpapers were a bit out dated. The hotels in Switzerland are generaly overpriced, there is no exception with the Alpina. I slept in 4* for less than that in other countries. I would recommend it but not for this price.
Staff was friendly and accomodating
Overpriced and musty smell in corridor just outside the room
The front desk was helpful. The breakfast was very good.
The room was just awful. It looked like it had not been renovated in 50 years. Our room faced the side entrance so everytime a car came in at night a light sensor went on and shone in our room. The curtains barely covered the windows. We came back at 8 pm to find the restaurant was closed. We were told we were off season but no one told us it was closed when we checked in. Really disappointed.
Dora was absolutely the most kind and helpful person at the hotel. She was always smiling and hospitable. The staff at the hotel made you feel welcomed. Also our room had a spectacular view of the Jungfrau mountain...absolutely beautiful.
My stay was very short -just one night but it was comfortable. The host was very helpful in providing sightseeing tips.
I wish there were some updates on email on how to reach the hotel. I was looking for a bus number that had in fact changed but a few months back but was unaware of it and finally walked down.
the mountain of jungfrau can be seen
everything is so od such as the furniture, bathroom, beds and the pillow is so bad, also the outlook of the hotel is not as new as the picture seen and my friend just complaint me to rent this hoel
